About: Drum Channel is a state-of-the-art provider of a wide variety of interactive drum education content, including its subscription based www.drumchannel.com which features over 700 drum lessons, lesson plans and live events as well as Drum Channel Digital Video, traditional media (DVDs distributed by Alfred Music) and the Drum Channel Game, the first drum trivia game of its kind.
Assignment: Ongoing PR, e-mail marketing and website counsel. Manage and post on Drum Channel’s Facebook and Twitter. Strategize overall social media – assist in-house team for launching presence on Instagram and optimizing YouTube and Google+.
Key accomplishments: Since we started work in September 2012 (compared with the previous 20-month period), e-mail signups have doubled. Daily site subscriptions have doubled. Twitter – 135.3 million impressions (up 337%), 7,581 retweets, 5,034 replies, 7,568 favorites, 19,000 new followers (41,096% increase) for a total of 41,000 followers to date. Facebook – 17.49 million impressions (318% increase), 233,800 likes, 47,610 shares, 23,410 comments, and 115,600 new page likes for a total of 160,000 page likes to date.
