Not one, but TWO local television stations botched the logo used in a graphic for our local professional hockey team Monday. The LA Kings were quick to respond as the team’s official twitter account called out @NBCLA for its mistake (above); soon NBC’s public reply regretting the error was posted (though not quite an apology):
Minutes later, Kings mascot Bailey tweeted to KTLA on behalf of the team:
What a mess! Some station managers are probably feeling a bit red-faced tonight. The Kings deserve more respect!! Looks like fans are going to have plenty to poke fun at while they wait for Game 2 to get underway Tuesday evening…
