About: Dora the Explorer Live! is a theatrical presentation for 2-7 year olds based on the number one kids television show. It introduced children to, and celebrates the art of, live theater. Dora the Explorer Live!
Assignment: TGPR’s main goal was to generate ticket sales via press coverage. In each market, TGPR staff contacted a targeted list of national and local print media, including arts and entertainment editors, theater feature writers and critics, family section editors, writers, TV writers, kid reviewers and many more throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Key Accomplishments: Dora the Explorer LIVE! was seen by more than three million adults and most tour markets were at 90 percent capacity or sold out. The tour performed four times on The Today Show in New York City. Features and reviews totaling 400 million impressions were secured over the four-year period. Other coverage highlights include NY-1, Good Day New York, KTLA Morning News (Los Angeles), USA Today, New York Times, NY Post, LA Times, SF Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, Chicago Tribune and Miami Herald.
