Susan M. Tellem

APR, RN, BSN, Partner

Susan heads the agency’s health care, nonprofit, crisis and food issues practices. With more 25 years in PR, she is known nationally for her expertise in media relations and crisis management. She has provided counsel for many high-profile clients, including the DA in the Michael Jackson molestation case. An accredited 30-year member of Public Relations Society of America, Tellem was honored with the LA Chapter’s Joseph Roos Community Service Award and was recognized by the Century City Chamber of Commerce as a “Woman of Achievement.”  She served as an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University after an 11 year stint as a member of UCLA’s extension faculty.  Tellem is a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.  She is a public safety advocate working as a Los Angeles Police Department Reserve Officer Specialist (retired); serving on the management team with the Malibu Community Emergency Response Team (CERT); and serving four years as a City of Malibu Public Safety Commissioner.

John A. Tellem

John heads Tellem Grody PR’s premier entertainment, touring, family and special event business. John has worked on the entertainment industry’s biggest brands including: Nitro Circus, Nickelodeon, Mattel, Broadway Across America and Warner Bros. John also acted as national publicist for Anthony Bourdain’s Guts and Glory tour; The Illusionists Live from Broadway, William Shatner’s World: We Just Live In It; The Fresh Beat Band; Mike the Knight Live; Barbie: The Dreamhouse Experience; Go Diego Go Live!; Barbie Live in Fairytopia; and Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer Live among other hit theatrical tours. John provides the entertainment coordination and strategy for a variety of charity events.

Dan Grody

Partner

Dan heads the consumer product, music and social media divisions and works closely with partner John Tellem on entertainment projects including Alton Brown Live, Anthony Bourdain: Close to the Bone, Nitro Circus, The Illusionists Live from Broadway, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: the Musical and Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance. Dan started his career as an intern with the firm and rapidly rose to partner. He represented plush manufacturer Aurora World Inc. for 13 years, helping them grow into a global leader (its YooHoo & Friends brand has sold more than 36 million units worldwide). He studied music professionally and expanded that practice within the agency adding clients DW Drums, For the Record Live, Los Angeles College of Music, Drum Channel and Cradle Rock. He is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, Social Media Club Los Angeles and Griffith Park Golf Club (he has one hole-in-one) and has won two PRSA PRism Awards for Entertainment.

Andy C is a publicist and social media specialist for Tellem Grody PR. He previously handled publicity for music and DVD releases for Shout! Factory and MLB Productions, the Emmy® award-winning television and video production division of Major League Baseball. Andy works on a variety of clients including Aurora, Dora The Explorer, Los Angeles College of Music, Drum Channel and Alton Brown Live.

Andy Perez has worked with clowns, elephants, daredevils, A-list celebrities, Rockettes, Globetrotters, Disney princesses, monster truck drivers, Broadway divas, folk dancers, acrobats, and equestrians for clients such as Disney On Ice, Disney Live, Monster Jam, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Cavalia, Taubman Shopping Centers, and the State of Michigan Tourism. Most recently he was the Public Relations Director at the Geffen Playhouse where he represented Bette Midler in I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat with Sue Mengers. He began his career as a producer at WGN Chicago. Currently he is a youth mentor for the Lifeworks program at the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Melanie Murphy is a public relations professional with six years experience leading successful PR campaigns for a variety of healthcare clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Past clients include Johnson & Johnson, DePuy Orthopedics, Allergan, Brighter.com, Concierge Choice Physicians and DripDrop, among others. Melanie specializes in media outreach, both in its traditional and digital forms, successfully securing coverage in outlets such as Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, ABC World News with Diane Sawyer, Self, Huffington Post and more. She received her degree in journalism and public relations from the University of Georgia.

Maximilian Schlossberg is a social media specialist at Tellem Grody PR where he works on such notable clients as San Francisco based California Poison Control System, Gumbo Gang in Louisiana and Dallas Based Guardian Safety Solutions International, Inc. Fluent in English and Spanish, Max began his career helping musicians get noticed by creating and executing YouTube campaigns and launching Bedlam News with a cross-pollination social media strategy he helped develop. Max also helped manage accounts for Disney, Starbucks and Barney’s Beanery including work in geolocation testing, community building and engagement. He has a passion for helping companies that give back to the community and raise awareness for important causes and services such as TGPR client California Poison Control System.

Vivian Fullerlove, account executive, primarily works with the entertainment division including clients Nitro Circus and The Illusionists. She began her PR career at Planet Hollywood Dallas managing high profile appearances for the world’s biggest stars including Bruce Willis, Cher, N’Sync, Oscar winner Cuba Gooding, Jr. and the late Patrick Swayze. At Ticketmaster Dallas, she conceptualized and implemented promotional events for the Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Summer Musicals, Texas Motor Speedway, Six Flags Over Texas and Billy Bob’s Texas. Before joining Tellem Grody PR, Vivian was head of marketing and publicity at Verizon Theatre working on numerous campaigns including Aretha Franklin and Carlos Santana.

Paul Misko, social media manager and graphic designer, has a background in sales and the music industry, where he became an early social media marketing adopter to help promote national music acts, coordinate record release cycles and independently book nationwide tours.  His graphic design expertise in digital and hard-copy marketing materials and merchandise is a valuable asset at Tellem Grody PR, where Paul has worked on For The Record Live, Los Angeles College of Music, Drum Channel, Play Dead, the BuildMyBod app and more.
